Established in 1989, Garments International is the largest manufacturer and exporter of woven garments in Bahrain. It is a totally integrated unit in that it can carry through a project from the stage of fabric design to the delivery of the finished product.
It engages a set of highly professional staff and a very skilled work-force totalling upto about 400 employees. The factory is spread over an area of approximately 44,000 square feet.
Garments International uses the most modern equipment in all its departments and currently produces 10,000 dozen woven garments per month in all a single shift. This sterling performance can be attributed to the methodical approach and skillful planning by the management and staff at every level of production.
The company specializes in the production of men’s shirts and shorts. Besides this, it expedites large orders of night-wear Kimonos and ladies wear in a variety of fabrics, such as denim, twill, chambray, polyester, rayon, cotton sheeting.
The fact that Garments International produces garments for the designer house of Dior, speaks for itself of its quality and caliber. For the moment, Garments International caters mainly to the US market and buyers in the USA are Nordstorm, Dillards, State O’maine, JC Penny, Sears roebuck, Wallmart, Kmart - to mention a few.
Good textile lab facilities are an essential aspect of a garment company. Garments International being fastidious in its approach, ensures the quality of the fabric, prior to the production of the garment by conducting various tests for manufacturing defects, colour fastness, shrinkage, etc.
The in-house Laundry is totally self-contained and has the facility for various kinds of garment washes such as stone, acid, caustic/bleach, pigment or enzyme wash and over-dying a well.
Garments International is equipped with a state-of-the art computer facility for creating in-house fabric and garment design. This fabric designs are then printed onto the fabric for which Garments International co-ordinates with its group associate company in India, 3D Exports. It does the sourcing of fabrics and trims through the same associate company besides getting them from other parts of the world as well.
Ransuvan Inc. is the marketing arm of Garments International, the office being in New York, USA. It has its own ware-housing facilities in New Jersey and New York.
